We strive for a requirement of Safe Working and take our role with Health & Safety on our sites extremely seriously, we are members of NCTG (Norfolk Construction Training Group) and work closely with our Health & Safety Advisors, Paramount Safety.

We have always appreciated the difficult nature of building, extending or renovating people’s homes and businesses and strive to ensure that with good communication, programming and understanding of the whole build process then any project can be successful for all parties involved.

The two Directors managing the company have a combined experience of 63 years within the industryWe can carry out works in all forms of procurement, with Domestic Clients as well as Commercial Clients.

We are a small Building Contractor with a modest team of time-served Craftsmen, able to successfully carry out New Builds, Extensions, Alterations, Structural Repairs and associated works to a high standard, on time and on budget. We have been trading for just under four years and have doubled our turnover year on year.

Nigel started his career in construction as an apprentice carpenter in which he qualified (City & Guilds Craft Certificate and Advanced Crafts) before continuing at College to further his general building knowledge (Management/ONC).

He served as a Site Manager for 14 years on a variety of Construction projects in both the private and commercial sectors.

He was appointed a Contracts Manager in 1998, a position fulfilled until 2013 when he started I.N.G. Building with Ian.

Along with Ian we strive to provide a quality product and service to our clients at a reasonable cost.

Started life in the building industry in 1989 and trained as a Quantity Surveyor & Estimator with Amec Building Ltd, gaining all ONC, HNC and CIOB qualifications during that time. Over a period of 20 years since leaving Amec, Ian has worked for national contractors, working in London and the South East as well as smaller local contractors as a Surveyor and Contracts Manager.

Having met Nigel Gayton in 2006 when working for a local contractor, therein commenced a thriving relationship of working collaboratively and forming good site teams.

The main motivation for Ian and I.N.G. Building Ltd is to offer Quality workmanship, communicated and programmed efficiently and realistically at an economic cost to the Client – hence our ethos of ‘We work with you’
